Your proactive fight against HD

Spirituality Improves Quality of Life

The third leg of the HDL Triad we name "spirituality". However our use of the term is more toward the internal spirit and peace of soul than any particular faith (although some faiths provide a foundation for peace of spirit and mind).

Many studies have indicated that stress increases the incidents of health issues and there are very few diseases that can add to stress more than Huntington's Disease. So it is VERY important that we make a determined effort to do what we can to achieve a reasonably calm and peaceful environment.

Sometimes simply distracting ourselves from our own problems and focusing our attention on helping others can bring yourself good karma and allow that brain of yours to focus on taking care of itself instead of imploding.
